Privacy

Your data stays on your device.

“Privacy first” is a common claim. What differs is whether you can check it yourself — every point below can be verified.

Works offline
Models run on your device. Offline, search, Q&A and image generation still work, and you can verify that yourself.
Faces and voiceprints stay local
The data used to recognize people exists only on this device. You can delete it person by person or clear everything in one step (identities, notifications and generated videos included); after that, searching by name finds nothing.
Cloud models are off by default
Cloud models must be switched on manually in settings; while they’re off, Q&A, search and image and video generation all stay on the machine. Every network switch is visible in settings.
No lock-in
It doesn’t move your files or change their format. If you stop using it, just uninstall; the files stay where they were, as they were.

When does it go online?

Spelling it out is more credible than claiming “never goes online.” By default there are only these three cases, and each can be turned off.
